Hey, I'm Hilthon — a self-taught developer from Belgium. I build things from scratch to find out how they actually work: an HTTP server in C, a language with its own VM, a software rasterizer with GPU or CPU. Mostly Go, C#, C and TypeScript. Away from the keyboard I'm usually playing banjo, bass or guitar — or gaming.
Wrote a driver library for a wireless M-Bus utility meter — reading packets off the wire, resetting the device and resolving which USB port it was attached to
Assembled around ten single-board computers feeding the town's camera network and public display panels
Bench-tested the field units' battery bank; none of the 15 cells held a charge, so the whole lot was scrapped
Sat in on a business and technical meeting with Zebra on industrial scanners, printers and tablets
